Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

1/3 Cup Shortening

1/2 Cup Sugar

2 Eggs

1 3/4 Cups sifted flour

1 tsp Baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 Cup Ripe Bananas

1/2 Cup Nuts

  1. Cream Shortening and sugar

  2. Add Eggs

  3. Beat well

  4. Sift together dry ingredients

  5. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with Banana

  6. Blend well after each addition

  7. Stir in Nuts

  8. Pour into well greased loaf pan

  9. Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes, or till done

  10. Remove from pan and cool on rack
